The 43-acre Hunters Woods was acquired between 1973 and 1975. The preserve is part of the Hickory Creek preservation system, which conserves more than 2,000 acres of land.
Hunters Woods is located on 78th Avenue, south of Lincoln Highway in Frankfort. Street parking is available on 78th Avenue.
